PIERCING EARS
Yes! New piercings in your ears! Whether you are getting your first holes pierced, or coming for a second or third one, it may be a bit thrilling, but always fun! You are more than welcome at Pracht to get your ears pierced. This is possible from €19.95, depending on which earrings you choose.
We also pierce cartilage, the Inverness® system has been specially developed so that it can also be used for cartilage piercing.
Piercing is only possible on the outer rim of the ear.

Technically, we pierce ears every day of the week, if it's not too busy.
At Pracht we pierce ears from the age of 12. Are you younger than 16? Then we only pierce in the presence of a parent/guardian.
Occasionally it can be too busy to pierce ears. If you want to be sure we have time, call us at 030-2300617.
Choose one of these earrings
When piercing ears, a wound is created in the ear. That is why it is important to pierce with a hypoallergenic material. We use special earrings from Inverness® for this, where you can choose between real gold (14 carat) or surgical steel.
You have to keep these earrings in for 6 weeks after piercing in the lobe, with piercing in the cartilage this is 12 weeks. So give your new earrings time to heal properly!
For piercing ears use the Inverness® system.
The Inverness® instrument is a “push-through” system and not a gun. As a result, the hole is punctured very accurately, quickly and silently.
First we clean the ears, then we mark off where the earrings will go, so you can be sure the spot is right. If you have doubts about the place, please let us know, of course we always think with you!
When the placement is approved, we insert the earrings. We do this one by one. It goes very quickly and is done in no time. It may burn a little afterwards, but that is normal and will go away quickly.

Healing
After piercing, a wound has formed in the ear. It is therefore very important to take good care of it. Always wash your hands before touching the earrings or your ears. Clean the piercing twice a day. Spray the aftercare product once on the front and back of the earring.
The Inverness® disinfectant bottle is a transparent, alcohol-free liquid. The active ingredient is benzalkonium chloride, which prevents the skin from drying out. When the ear is cleaned regularly, Inverness® guarantees maximum protection, allowing the wound to heal faster and preventing infections.
Slight sensitivity/redness may occur. This is a normal reaction and will subside and disappear within 48 hours. If any unwanted pain/swelling/redness does occur, seek medical advice before attempting to remove the earring.
After washing the hair with shampoo, clean the ear with clean water and then clean it with the care product as described above. This also applies after sports or swimming.
Do not touch the earrings unnecessarily and do not press the back too tightly onto the earring, as this can cause inflammation.
The healing process takes about 6 weeks when pierced in the earlobe, in the cartilage it takes about 12 weeks. After this you can change the earrings.
